Hummus is one of my all time favorite things to eat. I think I have 4 flavors in my fridge at all times…and it’s sooo easy to make! It’ll be sure to make those veggie trays taste extra ahhhmazing!
I love the flavors of pesto — basil, pine nuts, garlic & parmesan! sooo fresh and sooo cleann clean…haha not to mention it’s packed with tons of fiber, protein, and the healthy nutrients your body needs!
Garbanzo beans are definitely the vehicle for this recipe–it drives all your taste buds to flavor town…
Pesto Hummus Recipe:
1 can organic garbanzo beans (drained)
1 1/2 cups fresh basil
1/4 cup toasted pine nuts
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
2 cloves garlic
1/2 tbsp. lemon juice
5 tbsp. olive oil
dash of salt
*add all ingredients to vitamix (blender) and blend until smooth. Garnish with pine nuts & basil.
Enjoy it with veggies, pita chips, or as a sauce or condiment on your wraps!
