Wedding Advice from the Mrs.

Run like hell. hahahaha I’m totally kidding, but seriously…my mr. told me to keep that. haha

Getting married was one of the greatest times of my life! I’m one of those girls who never had the post wedding blues, nor did I have a dream wedding in my head before I got engaged — pinterest & wedding mags saved my butt on this one.

Don’t get me wrong life after the wedding slowed down a bit, oh who am I kidding — it slowed down a whole lot — but I sure didn’t miss it. My wedding was a bit grander than my husband and I first anticipated or dreamed of with 400 guests & in 3 different ballrooms… it was the party of the year! Sorry dad haha love youuu.

Planning a wedding is a serious task for anyone…all I can say is thank the high heavens I had the best in the business to help design & execute it all on my team.

My first piece of advice other than the man/woman you have chosen to spend the rest of your life with — is get a wedding planner!!!

Number 2 — don’t fret over the small stuff, you can’t control everything-trust me.

Number 3 — take a few moments to yourself to take in your amazing day, because it really is such a special day. I woke up and ran a mile or so & enjoyed some breakfast to myself — it was so nice just to think about my future, and take it all in. You work your butt off planning so give yourself some time to unplug, relax, & let it soak in.

Number 4 — stay calm. haha I say that with a grin because on my wedding day I don’t think I said 3 words while I was getting ready — that’s how many emotions were coursing through my body. I couldn’t hold back the tears whenever I saw my dad or my twin….ahhh my make-up lady loved/hated me.

Number 5 — On the day of my wedding, one piece of advice I received was just take mental pictures and take a lot of them! I’m so happy I did just that — because I remember it all or at least most of it.

All in all don’t forget why you’re all their in the first place — for love and to marry your best friend on that day!

My Mr.’s one piece of advice is: don’t take things to serious, just let it be — it’s the happiest day of your life, and who cares if a couple of the small details are off because you’ll laugh about it later! Bless this man you guys, bless.

So happy for all the lovely couples & their engagements!

Still can’t believe my wedding was almost a year ago….woweee! I just can’t wait to see & show the wedding video! Big thanks to the best parents in the world for the most amazing night of my life!

on a last note — cheeseburgers & afterparty’s are a nice touch. haha it was our guests fav. part of our wedding.
